Michael Jackson Biopic “Michael” Secures Distribution Deal with Kino Films

Tokyo-based Kino Films has recently signed a distribution agreement with Lionsgate and GK Films for the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic, titled “Michael.” While Lionsgate will handle the domestic release, Universal is set to distribute the film internationally, except for Japan where Kino Films is expected to release it in 2025.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua, “Michael” is currently in the post-production phase. The film features an ensemble cast led by Jackson’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, in the titular role. Other notable actors such as Colman Domingo, Nia Long, Miles Teller, Laura Harrier, and Juliano Krue Valdi also play key roles in the biopic.
